Since my visits to Guy's excellent urology department in 2009-12 it disappoints me to still come across a mismatch of information being given to men about testing for significant grades of aggressive prostate cancer, particularly those men with symptoms. Worse still, in July 2016 I was at a talk given by a famous cancer charity that perpetuates negativity towards screening [testing] 'because there are no suitable tests' for a NATIONAL screening programme. This gives out the wrong message to men, some GP's, and the whole Nation.
